Clay+Ash

When thinking about the materials of the 20th century, concrete, steel, wood, and brick come to mind but what are the contemporary building materials of today? A lot of waste has accumulated and a lot is to be produced as the construction industry has one of the largest footprints. To counteract this, we've started a series of tests to create local building materials out of building site leftovers and waste. The purpose of this series is to test the properties of combinations made from the same local waste products: earth (clay), ash, ground plastic, ground cables, crushed bricks, and crushed concrete.
